“One should say before sleeping, “I have lived many lives. I have been a slave and a prince. Many a beloved has sat upon my knees and I have sat upon the knees of many a beloved. Everything that has been shall be again.”
The holidays are over, essays have to be written, and ‘life’ is looming, yet stumbling upon this quote gave me great comfort. Resonating Shakespeare’s ‘The wheel is come full circle, I am here,’ this encouragement from Y.B Yeats reminds me that sometimes things are brilliant and sometimes they are not, yet to have a little of both is fair. I hope you find some contentment in the saying also.
